2005 Powertrain Caterham Challenge
The 2005 Powertrain Caterham Challenge will bring together – for the first time in a UK championship– Caterham’s fearsomely powerful R400 chassis and the potent Roadsport A cars, ensuring large grids and entertaining Caterham-style action the length and breadth of the grid.
The championship, which will have two distinct classes with points and awards in each distinct category, will feature on the bill of six promoted race meetings in 2005, with ‘sprint’ and ‘feature’ races at each event. To help keep competitor costs down, there are no major technical changes being planned for either R400 or for Roadsport A, other than the budget-saving introduction across both classes of a new Avon all-weather treaded racing tyre.
